Forest Clearing Wand from the Pacific Northwest
I recently overheard my sweetheart telling some friends that one of the things he’s learned from me, is to bring the forest/flowers/landscape indoors. I don’t even think twice about the sense of place I instinctually surround myself with via botanicals. Dried flowers hanging all over house, leaves and twigs in crevices of my car, and of course all the plant medicine stocked in the apothecary. I’ve wanted to make these wands for a long time, and with the new inspiration that the Pacific Northwest’s landscape is providing me with this season, I decided to go for it!
The Western Red Cedar, Juniper, Doug Fir, Wild Rose, & other wildflowers* (i.e. Hawthorn and Wild Delphinium, but only seasonally!) have all been foraged by myself on meditative wanderings nearby. This wand is meant to bring cleansing renewal to your spaces, through delightful scents and senses similar to the experience of a walk in the woods. Oh, and they’re beautiful, too!
**During the winter months, these wands generally don't contain any flowers besides for Rose, unless I have an abundance of dried flowers from the summer**
